Why Go International? Asia Focus
In the climate that we’re currently in, does it still make sense to think international? Is the Edinburgh Fringe still a viable platform for Asian artists to find future life for their works beyond cultural exchange? Does the Fringe audience still have an appetite for offerings from Asia? What barriers continue to exist and what are some existing ones that still require overcoming? Singapore Spotlight has teamed up with Taiwan Season, so come hear practitioners from both countries share how they’ve been bitten by the Fringe bug.
Producer’s Tea
We bring Singaporean artists presenting at the Fringe to meet industry presenters and programmers who are attending the Fringe. The opportunity to meet in a more intimate setting allows our artists and presenters to discuss their works more closely. This allows for the facilitation of possibilities for the future life of their works.
Singapore Spotlight Party
Come join the Singapore Spotlight team as we celebrate our nation’s 60th birthday! Meet the Singaporean artists who are presenting at the Fringe and get a sneak preview of their works. While we’re at it, meet other Singaporeans in town and those based in the UK. And of course, it’s not a Singapore party too until you get to savour the diversity of our cuisine that will be on offer.
